Guglielmi Monocultivar Peranzana Extra Virgin Italian Olive Oil 500ml
Peranzana is the cold-pressed light fruity extra virgin olive oil obtained only from Peranzana variety olives, one of the most famous cultivars of Puglia. The sweet and delicate taste makes this extra virgin the ideal ingredient to enhance tartare, steamed fish, raw fish, white meats, delicate sauces.

Peranzana is the light fruity of the “Le Monocultivar” collection, the new line dedicated to extra virgin olive oils born from three varieties of native Apulian olive trees. The olives of this typical variety of the Tavoliere area are harvested during the first weeks of October in our olive groves. Taken to the olive mill, they are cold-pressed within two hours. The result is a light fruity extra virgin, particularly delicate, known for its versatility in matching dishes. Peranzana is mild, like the spring sun of Puglia. The strong identity of this oil lies in the right proportion of sweet, spicy and bitter. The nose retains the intense aromas of the pressed olives with sensations of grass. Slight hints of tomato and fresh almond prevail on the palate.
It is said that the Peranzana cultivar was introduced in the Apulian lands around 1300 by the Angevins. Peranzana is the Italianized name of the local dialect deriving from the alteration of the word “Provencal”. This olive variety has been cultivated since immemorial time in Puglia. From it we obtain an extra virgin olive oil of absolute excellence characterized by organoleptic connotations of the highest quality accompanied by a very low acidity content. The importance that the cultivation of this cultivar has had in the history of the Guglielmi family is such that it led to the birth of the “Le Monocultivar” project.
Since 1954 we take care of our olive trees. My family has been producing extra virgin olive oil from our own olives for over 60 years. Today we continue to innovate this story, keeping firm the roots of Apulia’s oil culture thanks to technological change. Olio Guglielmi has an ever changing story.

In those years, Saverio, the forefather, was the one who placed the first brick of the mill, of what has become today the activity of Olio Guglielmi, a continuously evolving company. Thanks to Grandfather Saverio, a whole family is born, an “Extra virgin olive oil family “. Sons and nephews are dedicated to the cultivation of 160 hectares of olive groves, to olives harvesting and milling for producing a “genuinely” excellent extra virgin olive oil.
The Olive Mill
An olive farmer working with passion always pursues research. Technological innovation, the ambition for modernization has always existed in the “Extra virgin olive oil family “. The pearls of wisdom of the Apulian olive growing, passed down from generation to generation, are not only preserved but even enhanced by a vision about production that looks to future. Thus, the new Olive Mill was born. 21.000 square meters for 5 production lines. Here, thanks to the milling within few hours from the harvest, to an innovative extraction system and a strict control of all the production process phases, different extra virgin olive oils come to life.
The Olive Grove
The olive tree is a symbol. Leaves are an icon. Olives are an emblem. The olive groves for Olio Guglielmi are the engine of everything. The meticulous, careful and loving care arises from an extreme respect for nature and from the awareness that extra virgin oil is born on the branch, from the well-tended healthy fruit. Coratina, Peranzana and Ogliarola are just some of the typical Apulian olive varieties, protected by the accurate work on the fields, like a real asset to be safeguarded, that’s why olive groves are daily cared for personally by the family.
