Ratton Pantry champions sustainable brands, and they don't come much more environmentally conscious than Wildfarmed. Spearheaded by Andy Cato, half of the late-’90s electronic music duo Groove Armada, and joined by fellow converts George Lamb and Edd Lees, the trio set out on a quest to make a change. In essence, their approach was simple. They effectively rolled up and rationalised the huge issue of climate change into a bite-sized concept around the food choices we make every day, an idea that could be adopted in the home. Fix food, fix the planet. It's deliciously simple.

Wildfarmed flour is completely organic, and we mean completely, more than organic even. Wildfarmed is so focused on the way it farms that it literally redefines what 'organic' means, setting the bar higher than ever before. 15 years of rewriting the rule book by drawing upon, and adapting, old farming techniques. The Wildfarmed team has been on a crazy journey of experiments, self-discovery and innovation.

"Our pasture cropping method originally developed by Andy and now being adapted and refined by the growers in our community, allows arable crops to be grown alongside perennial plants. If we can get grasses, trees, and perennial plants of all kinds back into the “fields of single crops” that cover two-thirds of the country, we can make agriculture a solution to our biodiversity and climate crises rather than a contributor. That’s our mission".

Wildfarmed, despite being a relative newcomer to the farming world, is already a success story. Regenerative farming is here to stay, and it's largely thanks to these guys and the ever-growing clan of eco farmers that they're converting along the way. Wildfarmed helps farmers to be rewarded fairly, focusing on the quality of their produce, not the quantity.
