Mulino Marino

Mulino Marino is one of Italy’s most respected artisan flour mills, producing exceptional flours in the heart of the Langhe region of Piedmont since 1956. Founded by Felice Marino and his family in Cossano Belbo, the mill has remained firmly rooted in traditional milling craftsmanship across three generations. Natural stone milling has always been at the heart of Mulino Marino, using large millstones carefully maintained by hand and working slowly to preserve as much of the character of the grain as possible.

What makes Mulino Marino particularly special is its uncompromising approach to organic agriculture and the quality of its raw ingredients. The mill became certified organic in 1994 and, since 2001, has produced exclusively certified organic flours. Rather than creating highly standardised, heavily processed flour, Mulino Marino celebrates the natural variation of grain, producing artisan flours without added improvers and with a particular focus on flavour, aroma and performance. Many of its flours are slowly milled using natural stone, a process the Marino family believes helps retain the character, fibre and naturally occurring nutrients found within the grain.
