Matthews Cotswold Crunch flour is a speciality blend of strong white flour, malted wheat flakes and malt flour for bread and rolls. The flour has a nutty taste and a signature darker colour. This flour is extremely popular due to its flavoursome, malty aroma with added texture from the wheat flakes.

Matthews Cotswold Stoneground Wholemeal Spelt Flour
A beautiful nutty slightly sweet all-purpose flour. Rich in flavour, our wholemeal spelt flour is a great healthy option, being easier to digest than normal flours as it is not made with wheat and is in fact an ancient grain.
Matthews Cotswold Stoneground Strong Wholemeal Flour
Traditionally stoneground milled wholemeal strong bread flour. Milled using a blend of high protein hard Canadian wheat highly regarded for its superior milling and baking quality. One of the oldest types of bread flour, wholemeal flour keeps a higher amount of the nutritious value of grain than other flours
Matthews Cotswold Stoneground Dark Rye Flour
Cotswold Stoneground Dark Rye flour is a wholemeal Rye flour used to produce delicious rye bread and with a dark dense character. Produced from local Cotswold Rye grain the texture of the flour is a dark greige colour creating a denser bread than used from wheat flour.

Pioneering an artisanal blend of three unique Ancient Grains, the distinctive flavours of whole grain Emmer and Einkorn combined with Cotswold Spelt have been blended with torrefied spelt flakes. This flour provides a distinct Cotswold Crunch flavour with the power of three ancient grains.
Stoneground Heritage Bibury Barley
Bibury Barley is a blend of a Cotswold Heritage Barley and local high protein wheat to boost your bread baking recipes. This flour produces traditional light golden breads with toasted barley flakes which gives your bread a wholesome crunch.
Stoneground Malted Cotswold Rye
Cotswold Malted Rye is a wholesome malted rye flour with rye flakes and creates a dark and rich dough packed with flavour. The stoneground wholegrain rye retains its nutritional value from all three parts of the Rye grain for improved nutrition and taste.
Stoneground Cotswold Spelt and Rye
A blend of Wholegrain Cotswold Rye & Cotswold Light Spelt flour. This flour produces a lighter wholemeal blend from two nutritious grains. Our Stoneground Spelt and Rye delivers a mild, nutty dark flavour.

A speciality blend of Wholegrain high fibre Oats and Oat flour, blended with high protein British grade 1 wheat from the Cotswold Hills.

Generations of farming families
The Matthews Cotswold Flour story began when the original FWP (Frederick) Matthews built a mill on the river Evenlode in 1912. You’ll find us working here to this day, overlooking the picturesque Cotswold village of Shipton-Under-Wychwood. It’s not a bad office view!
The Matthews family have spent over 100 years developing, improving and innovating to consistently produce the very best flour and baking products. Today, the company is led by father and son team Paul and Bertie Matthews – FWP Matthews’ great, great grandsons. This sustained passion and expertise passed down through generations, continues to inform every step of our process – from our local ethos to our traditional methods.
