Hand-wrapped classic Pandoro by Muzzi, Made with Muzzi's classic Pandoro recipe.

The perfect alternative to Panettone, made without raisins and candied fruit.

Icing sugar sachet included for the finishing touch.

Excellent on its own, this artisanal panettone pairs well with fresh berries and whipped cream. Enjoy with a cup of coffee for an afternoon pick-me-up, or serve as an after-dinner dessert with a glass of wine.

Serving Tip: Traditionally Pandoro should be warmed slightly before serving to best enjoy its delicate flavour. A few seconds in the oven or a few minutes in front of a lit fireplace are enough to allow the sugar covering the cake to melt.

What is the difference between Panettone and Pandoro?

The main difference between pandoro and panettone lies in the shape, an eight-pointed star for the former and a cylinder with a domed top for the latter, and in their defining flavours: the pandoro is presented in all its simplicity, covered with a dusting of icing sugar, while the panettone is enriched with candied fruit and sultanas depending on the recipe, but also with chocolate chips in more modern variants.

The dough of panettone has a denser consistency compared to the more honeycombed and lighter texture of pandoro. The difference in composition also results in a difference in the aroma that these two cakes give off when cut. Panettone, in fact, produces an aroma enhanced by the sweet and sour notes of candied fruit and sultanas, while pandoro exudes a sweet scent of butter and vanilla.

Muzzi pandoros are made with fresh eggs, delivered daily, along with carefully selected butter, milk and sugar. The pandoro is made using a mother yeast that is carefully tended, and follow a traditional recipe that has been perfected over many years. The process involves waiting for over 30 hours for the Pandoro to rise.
