Wessex Mill White Spelt Bread Flour 1.5kg
Wessex Mill White Spelt Bread Flour is a premium Spelt flour, great for using in any bread recipe.
Creamy in colour and mildly nutty in flavour, use this soft ancient grain flour like regular white flour.
Spelt, also known as dinkel wheat or hulled wheat, is a species of wheat that has been cultivated since approximately 5000 BC. Spelt was an important staple food in parts of Europe from the Bronze Age to medieval times. Spelt is also more water-soluble than wheat, which makes it easier for the body to digest. Spelt gluten has a very soft feel and gives a very light eating loaf.
Wessex Mill White Spelt Bread Flour is available to buy from Ratton Pantry in 1.5kg bags, 4.5kg packs and 7.5kg packs.
Please note: Spelt flour will only work in bread machines if it has a spelt program. If you want to bake a good loaf use a dough program, remove and gently mold, place in a tin or basket, prove for 20 mins and then bake in the oven.
